DESCRIPTION OF THE VILLA

This private, gated eight-bedroom villa sits in the heart of Positano, a town that’s famed for the majolica domed church that sits high above the bay, iconic curved pebble beach, and the citrus scent of lemons that fills the air and adorns ceramic wares on every corner.

Ideal for those wishing to relax and unwind, this wonderful luxury villa sleeping 15 guests (thus ideal for wedding celebrations) is furnished with priceless antiques, a plethora of large comfortable sofas and original fireplaces – perfect for relaxing with a traditional Positano cocktail whilst appreciating the 360-degree vista from the mountains to the sea.

The building goes back to the 1700s and after several restorations during this time, it has now been completely renovated with the idea of turning it into a prestigious residence for holidays. Its position allows to enjoy a unique view of the town of Positano and of the gulf. From its large terraces dominates the typical whitewashed houses that slope down, one on top of the other, right down to the sea.

A professional kitchen and adjoining dining room top off the living space that opens up onto the sunny terraces. Bedroom suites with dreamy vaulted frescos and balconies from which to soak up the breath-taking views are situated on the first floor, whilst the lower ground floor bedrooms have direct access to the gardens.

Outside, the villa has a lush, Italianate terrace with doors leading back to the house, and a splendid solarium garden with bar and swimming pool

Please note that the villa is accessed via a private road not open to cars, an attractive little alley-way of about 100 metres (50 steps approx.), however transport to the door can be provided on request.

• The town of Positano (2km) is one of Amalfi’s prettiest, with steep winding streets that offer upmarket boutiques by day and gorgeous restaurants by night, with tables laid out under a canopy of fairy lights and stars. At the bottom of the hillside sits Positano’s pebbly beach, from which daily boats can be taken to Capri, a pocket-sized island that’s no stranger to the rich and famous.
• Across the peninsula lies the hillside town of Sorrento (17km), overlooking the Bay of Naples and home to pastel coloured antique shops and the Piazza Tasso, a café lined square.
• A little further afield lies the ancient city of Pompeii (56km), with excavated streets and houses that once lay under metres of ash from Mount Vesuvius, now providing a somewhat sombre yet fascinating and important insight into Roman history.

Special Conditions:

• Refundable damage deposit to be paid in Euros in cash on arrival: €2.500.
• A deposit of €1.000 must be handed over on arrival for the first purchase of food.
• Deposit and charges payable locally can be paid by credit card (10% surcharge).
• In case of special events such as weddings, dinners, parties extra services can only be organised by the villa staff. The extra fee for the event is €10.000 + 22% VAT,  event organisation fee is € 5.000+ 22% VAT.
